First Archive

This centuries‘ old collection of knowledge is a priceless treasure trove strictly governed by Head Archivist, and his apprentice San Dun. Deeply entrenched in the labyrinth of worn leatherbound books, scrolls and ancient records, the two hold vast fields of information between them. Head Archivist has long since devoted his life to the arts of science and history, and his scholarly-minded apprentice San Dun seems set on following in his master’s tracks. Monastic living adheres to strict routine with little or no distractions. Before Mila appeared, Dun had never spoken to a girl in his whole life. At least not that he can recall.

“Well, Ma of course,” he admits. “But she doesn’t really count. Does she?”

The oldest book in First Archive is over 700 years old. The pages of The Legend of Ka La Sai, is made from bark from the mulberry tree, sewn together with silk thread, and held with butterfly binding.
